About the role

LoJac, located in Middle TN, is seeking an experienced Mechanic dedicated to professional growth. The role involves diagnosing, adjusting, and repairing LoJac equipment, with a requirement for knowledge of a variety of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn parts.
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoist and hand tools.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance as needed on equipment.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
• Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment.
• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Keep documentation of any repairs made to machines.
• Label all equipment that is not in working order to ensure safety to others.
• Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Assemble gear systems, and align frames and gears.
• Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electrical or gas welders and soldering tools.
• Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Research, order, and maintain parts inventory for services and repairs.
• All other duties as required by business needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 5+ years of experience in the mechanic field (Preferred)
• 5+ years of work experience in the Construction industry
• Valid Driver’s License
