Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections
- Repair or replace defective components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, fuel systems, or components related to the Hog System
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify system malfunctions
- Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Conduct preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality
- Maintain company equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner
- Attention to continuous improvement opportunities
- Follow all company and OSHA Safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Vocational/Trade School mechanic training or certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as Medium or Heavy Truck Mechanic
- Experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic systems preferred
- Skilled in using power and air tools
- Must own, and be comfortable using, typical shop tools
- Self-disciplined, highly organized, goal-oriented
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Schedule
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, this schedule may vary based on the needs of the shop and as assigned by the production supervisor.
Work Environment
This job operates in a shop environment where tools and other machinery are used. Position may require travel from time to time.
