MECHANIC

Job Duties

• Performing and overhauling heavy trucks, pickup trucks and cars.
• Planning work procedures using charts and technical manuals.
• Disassembling and inspecting parts for wear.
• Repairing or replacing parts as needed.
• Responsible for house cleaning of work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of the processes and techniques used in major and minor mechanical and vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Good knowledge on safety processes required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform average lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally up to 35 pounds.
• Agility and coordination required when climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and crawling under various conditions.
• Finger dexterity required with at least one hand involving reaching, handling and feeling.
