Mechanic Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Equipment and Fleet Mechanic Assistant to repair and perform preventative maintenance on all company equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and service on a wide variety of landscape power equipment, including commercial mowers, 2-cycle equipment, utility vehicles, trailers, and trucks.
• Operate in a shop where an inventory of spare parts and supplies is maintained.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe shop environment.
• Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 2+ years of repair experience with mowers, small engines, 2-cycle equipment, and utility vehicles.
• Strong mechanical skill-set, including knowledge of basic electrical systems, hydraulic systems, mower technology, and engines (gasoline and diesel).
• Basic automotive repair experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Must have reliable transportation to the branch or first job site.
• Safe driving record; ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is a plus.
