About the role

Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking an experienced Mechanic, Asphalt Equipment - HMAC in Dallas, TX. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us. This is a great opportunity for a heavy equipment Field Mechanic with at least 3 years of service and repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Owning your own tools is required
• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Work hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs; days, nights and weekends
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with required knowledge of:
  • Diesel engines
  • Transmissions
  • Electrical systems
  • Hydraulic systems
• Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
• Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
• Experience with asphalt and concrete paving equipment preferred
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States
