Mechanic 4 - Calvert City

About the role

Empower Rental Group is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic Level 4 to join our team at the Calvert City, KY branch. This role involves preparing rental equipment for delivery, performing modifications and repairs, cleaning units, completing service calls, and handling preventative maintenance. Mechanics also assist with general yard work and customer service tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
• Make notes on rental tags and assist customers with questions or service needs.
• Support other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Clean the yard and shop area.
• Perform repairs on the small fleet and company vehicles.
• Diagnose issues with heavy equipment powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems using computer analyzers and traditional troubleshooting methods.
• Complete standard and complex repairs to the fleet, including inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as changing filters, checking fluids, and filling tires.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to company core values.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Over 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles (required on a case-by-case basis).
• Provide exceptional customer support during field visits.
• Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
• Average computer skills.
• Ability to complete rental equipment preparation by the delivery date and maintain a ready line.
• Must meet quality standards and have own basic tools.
