About the role

An aircraft mechanic maintains aircraft engines to meet FAA standards. This position involves performing routine checks and repairs, keeping inventory records, and identifying faults with aircraft components. This is a 2nd shift position: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 pm – 2:00 am.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engine disassembly and assembly, including engine modules and accessories.
  • Clean engine parts and components, and perform visual checks to assess part condition for continued use.
  • Understand basic inspection techniques as part of career development.
  • Comply with all EH&S (Environment, Health, and Safety) and continuous improvement policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required training and support applicable committee activities.
  • Manage tools and tooling to ensure serviceability before and after use, and address issues appropriately.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of mechanical experience in manufacturing, maintenance, automotive, aviation, military, or a related technical field.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • A&P License or two years of aviation, aerospace, and/or previous mechanical experience.
  • Turbine engine overhaul and repair experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Assembly.
  • Ability to identify and resolve configuration and compatibility issues.
  • Completion of CORE Basics and an active CORE profile (internal candidates).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with SAP.

This is an FAA Safety Sensitive Position.
