Mechanic 2nd Shift

Description What to expect

The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently repairing and maintaining plant industrial equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain stationary machinery, mobile equipment, and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems, shakers, pumps, gearboxes, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of aggregate plant processing equipment and repair of mobile equipment.
• Conduct MSHA pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and work area.
• Operate other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks in a safe manner as needed.
• Aid in the training of co-workers as needed.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position.
• One (1) year of experience in welding and maintenance.
• Experience in welding and maintenance in the mining industry (preferred).
• Possess a welding certification (a plus).

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

Skills

• Welding certification (a plus).
• Knowledge of electrical and pressure testing equipment.

Pay

The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Schedule

Texas Quarry Cockeysville, Maryland Hours are 2 pm - 12 am including weekends as necessary.
