Mechanic 1 - Calvert City

About the role

As a Yard Technician - Mechanic 1 at our Calvert City branch, you will prepare rental equipment for delivery, perform repairs and modifications, clean units, and handle preventative maintenance. You’ll also assist with yard work, customer service, and on-site service calls.

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment before and after rental use.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
• Make notes on rental tags and assist with customer questions.
• Support other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Maintain cleanliness of the yard and shop area.
• Perform minor diagnostics and repairs on the fleet.
• Uphold a safe work environment and follow company safety protocols.
• Demonstrate behaviors aligned with company core values.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quality and efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in a mechanical or technician role.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles (insurance requirements may apply).
• Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to prepare rental equipment by the delivery date and maintain a ready line.
• Must meet quality standards and have own basic tools.
