Mech/Elec Technician (Solidworks CAD Experience Required)
About the role
As a Mech/Elec Technician you will install, operate, test and maintain manufacturing equipment, including automated and robotic parts, integral to our solid rocket motor propellant production facilities. You will also own mechanical design from concepts through drawing release for hardware required for site operations and program support.
Responsibilities
- Identify blockers and guide processes to address anomalies and performance shortfalls
- Maintain schedule goals regarding installation, commissioning and deployment of components, sub-assemblies, and top-level facilities
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience with installation/testing/commissioning of mechanical, electrical/controls and fluidic systems/facilities
- Experience servicing pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, ovens, precision flow meters, instrumentation, data acquisition, power supplies, PLC panels, etc.
- Demonstrated expertise with Solidworks CAD and PDM or equivalent
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers/technicians
- Demonstrated electro/mechanical hands-on dis-assembly/assembly and trouble-shooting aptitude
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Must be a US Person as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
