Meat Service Clerk

About the role

Location: Cub Foods Monticello. Reports to: Meat and Seafood Manager. Classification: Part Time.

Responsibilities

• Fill and rotate cases and displays (may be some heavy lifting-up to 50lbs)
• Assist with merchandising and receiving products to keep our shelves full
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary store
• Work with the team on all tasks necessary to have an awesome department
• Be a part of a dedicated team that enjoys their job, arrives promptly for shifts, and works as scheduled

Requirements and Skills

• Willing to make lasting connections with customers
• Friendly and outgoing, promotes customer service for the entire team (preferred)
• Experience working in meat department
• Knowledge of burger patties, meatloaf tins and kabobs (may handle pork)

Pay

Progressive scale up to $18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule

Sunday – Saturday, varied hours.

Physical Requirements and Equipment Operation

• Position functions and physical requirements may vary by store location.
• Frequent: lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., pushing over 2200 force lbs., walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting, turning.
• Equipment operation: meat saw, meat slicer, scale, racks, knives, meat grinder, cuber, bulker, meat mixer, pattymachine, tenderizer, pressure washer, telephone, paging system.
• Mental judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math.
• Environmental exposure to cold temperatures and wet surfaces.
• Occasional: equipment operation (forklift), pallet jack, flatbed.
• Frequent: 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift.
• Occasional: less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift.
