Overview of Responsibilities

Provides a high level of customer service, practicing safe food handling procedures and a high level of product knowledge and preparation techniques.
Receives, stores, and grinds meats; unloads and transports fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery truck.
Counts and weighs incoming articles and compares results against an invoice; examines meats in storage and rotates meats to avoid aging.
Aids customers with questions, special orders and needs, while maintaining a positive, customer focused work environment.
Gives customers direction of product location throughout the store, and performs and follows our “Clean as You Go” and “Fresh at 4” Programs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age, and have a high school diploma or equivalent and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
Dependable and reliable; outgoing and friendly behavior; positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers.
Flexible schedule that changes as the business changes including nights, weekends and holidays.
Good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
Knowledge of weekly ad items; ability to perform and follow our “Clean as You Go” and “Fresh at 4” Programs.
Standing for up to 4 hours continuously, walking up to 2 miles per 8 hours, lifting/carrying products horizontally/vertically between 25 to 90 lbs., moving tables weighing up to 70 lbs., and using a pallet jack to move pallets horizontally up to 500 lbs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.70 - $23.88 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
