About the Role

A Day In The Life As a Meat & Seafood Clerk, you’ll be hands-on with fresh proteins—preparing, packaging, and displaying meat and seafood products to meet high standards of quality and food safety. You’ll maintain a clean and organized department, assist with inventory and restocking, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers, whether it’s helping them find the perfect cut or offering cooking tips. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and doesn’t mind getting their hands a little messy. Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and display meat and seafood products while maintaining quality and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized department, including displays and work areas.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking products.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service, including product recommendations and cooking tips.

Requirements

• Prior experience in meat or seafood preparation, grocery, or food service preferred.
• Understanding of meat and seafood types, freshness indicators, and safe handling practices.
• Familiarity with sanitation standards and procedures for handling raw products.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work comfortably in refrigerated environments.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining displays, monitoring product quality, and following packaging guidelines.

Skills

• Customer service skills, including assisting with product selection and providing preparation tips.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy.
