Meat Prep Operator

About the role

Job Location: Timberville, VA
Full-time position on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through all positions: Grinder Operator, Gravy, Mix injection, Brine, Tumbler, and Spice Room
• Set up and tear down machines, weigh, grinding, chopper, mixing, and operate scales
• Operate mobile powered equipment
• Complete paperwork and other miscellaneous duties
• Perform lifting, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and recording weights from scales
• Operate the IPFS system
• Perform multiple tasks and work on the production line as needed
• Read and comprehend meat inventories and formulas for product ingredients
• Rotate within the department and other departments as required

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work flexible hours and/or shifts
• Accuracy, precision, and dependability are a necessity
• Must be a self-starter with good communication skills
• Must be a team player but also able to work well alone
• Good basic math and reading skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous production or farm experience
• Previous Cargill experience
• Work history in the past 12 months

Pay

$21.75 per hour, plus shift differential
