Meat Merchandiser

Essential Functions/Qualifications

• Provide customer service, including training of the required customer service guidelines
• Understand all corporate and divisional merchandising and operational standards and requirements
• Aid store managers in the selection and training of store level department management
• Assist in the review of financial reports and ensuring stores take corrective action for negative trends
• Supervise the implementation of divisional merchandising plans and ensure sales promotion/displays meet established standards
• Conduct store divisional inspections to evaluate store conditions, merchandising standards, customer service performance, employee performance, and overall store operations
• Maintain industry knowledge and trends by inspecting competitors and reviewing retail trade publications
• Show ability to be self-directed, take ownership of assigned duties, and excel in a team environment
• Attend all mandated company training sessions and meetings (Manager Meetings, Train-the-Trainer sessions, etc.)
• Participate in other Company related duties, activities, and functions, as requested
• Show ability to work weekends when necessary
• Show ability to travel on a regular basis within a large geographic area, multiple days per trip
• Show ability to preserve confidentiality of information
• Show accuracy and attention to detail
• Show ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects
• Show ability to work within rigid time frames and deadlines

Desired, Non-Essential Functions

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
• Experience with corporate databases (Item Master, Movement)
