Meat Manager

About the role

C&K Market and Ray's Food Place is seeking a Meat Manager in Medford, Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of 2 to 15 employees in the meat area.
• Interview and hire applicants, order product and supplies.
• Maintain all paperwork and bookkeeping.
• Perform a variety of meat cutting and wrapping duties including using meat saw, slicer, grinder, tenderizer, wrapping and weight equipment.
• Stock shelves and cases.
• Serve customers by obtaining orders.
• May work in a refrigerated area.

Qualifications

• Use hand, arms, and fingers to handle tools or operate power equipment.
• Work in a standing position for 8 hours a day.
• Use basic math to measure and estimate material quantities.
• Keep work station clean and sanitary.
• Lift and handle bulky materials and products.

Desired, Non-Essential Functions

• Weigh, wrap and price merchandise.
• Stock display cases.
• Take customer orders.
• Receive money and make change.
