Meat Lead

About the Role

This position requires previous Meat Cutting experience and Journeyperson Meat Cutter certification. As a member of our team, you'll support department leadership, provide excellent customer service, and oversee the seafood and meat department in the absence of managers. You'll procure high-quality products, develop merchandising plans, manage supplies and inventory, and train staff to maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative merchandising plans
• Order and manage supplies and products
• Train and work with staff to ensure quality standards
• Support department sales, labor budget, and reporting
• Ensure proper merchandising and signage
• Maintain vendor relationships
• Manage shrink, inventory, and department cleanliness
• Stay current with industry trends and training
• Adhere to company policies, security, and safety procedures

Requirements

• Must be a Journeyperson Meat Cutter
• Interest and enthusiasm for meat and cooking
• Excellent customer service skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Self-discipline, accountability, and attention to detail
• Ability to build relationships with staff, customers, and vendors
• Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office
• Full body mobility and ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work hard
• Must be 18 years or older

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Meat Cutter certification
• Previous Meat Cutting experience

Pay

Entry Level Compensation: USD $30.95/Hr.

Maximum Compensation: USD $31.20/Hr.
