Meat/Fish Department Associate

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Assists with managing the department’s inventory, stock levels, merchandising and other operation processes to company standards.
• Ensures high level of customer engagements and satisfaction at all times.
• Wraps, weighs and prices all meats and related products processed in the Meat Department, following approved procedures.
• Ensures that all meat cuts are properly trimmed and attractively presented.
• Takes products to refrigerated storage or shelf area.
• Rotates products in accordance with all of the department policies and product code dates.
• Assists with regularly scheduled inspections of packaged products for freshness and visual appeal, pulling products for re-wrapping as required.
• Maintains a regular and effective housekeeping and sanitation program that meets the standards established by the department and all applicable health regulations.
• Participates in training activities to increase personal skill levels, and to improve overall department processes and customer service.
• Maintains the physical requirements to perform the job functions listed above.
• Completes all applicable department training programs.
• Performs all duties in accordance with all ShopRite Service Priorities (Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency).

Qualifications

• Possesses extensive knowledge of the meat department and related products.
• Eligible to work in the US.
• Able to lift up to 25-50 pounds.
• Able to work well with others as a team member.
• A passion for serving people.
