Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to company standards and customer requests.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of meat to maintain freshness and safety.
- Operate cutting tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment.
- Inspect meat products for quality and report any issues to management.
- Aid customers with meat selections and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
- Follow all safety and health regulations in the workplace.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a meat cutter or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of meat cuts, trimming techniques, and food safety standards.
- Ability to operate knives and cutting equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
