Join our meat team at Sam’s Club, where you’ll make important decisions about the quality, packaging, and display of our meat items for our members. You’ll be on the front lines of customer service, ensuring a great shopping experience with your attention to detail and friendly demeanor. Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and assisting members across the club.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready work area.
• Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team and communicate effectively with team members.
• Demonstrate expertise in meat preparation (cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) according to established standards, including boneless meat products.
• Adhere to product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment operation and maintenance.
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality.
• Ensure operational excellence by following company policies and procedures for quality control, date control, waste elimination, and proper packaging, labeling, and storage of merchandise.
• Assist members with purchasing decisions and ensure merchandise is properly secured to prevent shrinkage.
• Act as a talent ambassador by modeling high-quality service, executing tasks with energy and commitment, and advocating for the department and club.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, using the Open Door Policy as needed.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and business partners, and adapting to feedback and change.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, such as based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
