About the Role
Join our meat team at Sam’s Club, where you’ll make important decisions about the quality, packaging, and display of our meat items for our members. Your attention to detail and customer service skills will help create a great shopping experience. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring member satisfaction while maintaining product quality and a clean, member-ready area.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering member questions and assisting as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to build a strong meat department and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrate expertise in floor operations, product safety, sanitation, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
- Prepare meat products (cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) according to established standards.
- Maintain product quality, date control, and proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and make real-time business decisions.
- Ensure operational excellence by adhering to company policies and procedures, eliminating waste, and securing high-shrink merchandise.
- Advocate for the department by modeling high-quality service and products, executing tasks with energy and commitment.
- Comply with company policies, ethics, and integrity standards, using the Open Door Policy when needed.
- Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers and team members, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to feedback.
Requirements

- Ability to stand for long periods while assisting members quickly and accurately.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
