Meat Clerk

About the role

Meat Clerks are responsible for working in a fast-paced multi-functional environment alone or with other people in a cool/cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers when applicable
• Must work quickly and carefully while stocking/wrapping items at a reasonable expectancy
• Handle various raw meat products to wrap, price, and stock into display cases
• Operate meat department equipment such as auto wrapper, scale, slicer, etc.
• Lift and load product weighing up to 50lbs
• Sweep, clean up, and sanitize work stations as assigned by Meat Staff leader
• Clean display cases and fill supplies when needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Highly organized with a keen sense of details
• Great listening and communication skills
• Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
• The work environment is typical of a retail store
• The noise level ranges from quiet to loud
• The store level varies from regular temperature to some cooler areas
• Minimal sitting is required

Pay

Starting pay is negotiable. Pay scale $15.00-$20.10 per hour. Within this range, individual pay is determined by location and other factors including, but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training.

Schedule

Store hours of operation: 7am-10pm 7 days a week.
