Responsibilities

  • Perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Unload and store merchandise.
  • Prepare and display foods in accordance with company standards, recipes, and policies.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure freshness and safety.
  • Maintain sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and well organized.
  • Clean and sanitize cookware and utensils.
  • Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities according to company policies and procedures.
  • Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational, and cooperative manner.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
  • Support and assist through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.

Requirements

  • Willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to read and understand shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
  • Able to multi-task, set priorities, and present information professionally.
  • Personal initiative and follow-through to completion.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate all production equipment.

Qualifications

  • Past work record reflecting dependability and integrity.
  • Previous experience in food preparation.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.
  • Experience in grocery retail and customer service.

  • Ability to read and understand relevant materials.
  • Multi-tasking and prioritization skills.

  • Safe handling of cleaning solutions and sharp tools.
