Responsibilities
- Perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department.
- Provide customer service.
- Unload and store merchandise.
- Prepare and display foods in accordance with company standards, recipes, and policies.
- Monitor product quality and ensure freshness and safety.
- Maintain sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and well organized.
- Clean and sanitize cookware and utensils.
- Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
- Maintain equipment and facilities according to company policies and procedures.
- Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational, and cooperative manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
- Support and assist through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
Requirements
- Willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to read and understand shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
- Able to multi-task, set priorities, and present information professionally.
- Personal initiative and follow-through to completion.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate all production equipment.
Qualifications
- Past work record reflecting dependability and integrity.
- Previous experience in food preparation.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.
- Experience in grocery retail and customer service.
