About the Role
Perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department and provide customer service. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities
- Wait on customers promptly and cheerfully, providing good quality food.
- Greet customers and interact with tact, calmness, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
- Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods according to company standards, recipes, and policies.
- Perform required temperature monitoring and ensure product quality, freshness, and safety.
- Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean, organized, and free from clutter.
- Maintain clean and safe floors.
- Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils following company and Health Department policies.
- Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
- Maintain equipment and facilities safely and properly in accordance with company policies.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and State and Federal laws.
- Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
Requirements
- Willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and present information professionally.
- Personal initiative and follow-through to completion.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate production equipment.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
- Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
- Previous experience in food preparation.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.
- Experience in grocery retail and customer service.
