Meat Associate (part-time)

About the Role

You'll learn about sustainable meat and seafood products while interacting with guests who appreciate high-quality, local, and unprocessed items.

Responsibilities

• Wrap, weigh, label, date, and rotate all meat and seafood products according to department protocol.
• Ensure proper placement of back stock items in cases or on shelves.
• Oversee daily merchandising and product maintenance, including stocking, organizing, and facing products on shelves.
• Maintain a clean and organized department, pulling products to the front of shelves for an appealing appearance.
• Follow established procedures to meticulously clean the department at the end of each shift.
• Provide exceptional hospitality and educate guests on local meats, recipes, and cooking tips.
• Ensure the highest quality product by adhering to rotation, labeling, and weighing standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, keeping Health Department standards in mind.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and share product knowledge with guests.
• Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or customer service experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Open, weekend, and holiday availability for part-time work.
• Passion for food, cooking, and providing an exceptional guest experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.75 per hour, with higher starting pay for candidates who bring relevant experience.
