Reports directly to the Fresh Market Manager and reports functionally to the Meat and Fish Quality Head. Supervises and motivates the team to improve product knowledge, sales and efficiencyButchers meat and seafood per guest requests and provides excellent service at all timesProvides recipe and preparation recommendations to guests when appropriateCuts and prepares various types of meat and fish to be sold in the marketplace and served in restaurantsComplies with company quality standards when butchering and ensures work stations comply with Department of Health standardsManages stock levels and makes key decisions about stock control, assisting with ordering supplies and merchandise as neededManages production schedule to achieve maximum efficiencyCommunicates any technical or mechanical issues to the appropriate departmentPerforms other duties as required or assigned Qualifications 2+ years of experience butchering fish and meat in a guest service setting1+ year of retail supervisory or management experienceSolid time management skillsExcellent attention to detailKnowledge of Italian technique and cuisine preferred Job Requirements Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekendsAbility to work with commercial butchering equipment including band saw, knives, hand tools, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingFood Handles license preferred Additional Information Benefits and Perks Medical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental Leave401K with match Bonus programFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyReferral bonus programand more!
