Measurement Technician (Medford or Enid, OK)

ONEOK’s Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) segment is seeking a Measurement Technician - Intermediate to support field measurement operations based in Medford or Enid, Oklahoma. This hands-on, on-site role ensures accurate, reliable measurement across the Medford Frac facility and other Oklahoma assets by installing, testing, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining measurement and regulation equipment, including flow meters, regulators, telemetering systems, electronic flow computers, odorant systems, and related instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, calibrate, repair, and maintain orifice, positive, Coriolis, Ultrasonic, and dry flow meters, regulator settings, telemetering systems, electronic flow computers, odorant systems, and relief valves.
• Perform measurement, sampling, and regulation operations and maintenance at facilities.
• Calibrate and maintain test instrumentation and auxiliary equipment.
• Drive and ensure maintenance of company vehicle.
• Interact effectively with corporate measurement personnel and adhere to corporate measurement procedures.
• Prepare reports including job orders, completion reports, meter and regulator installation/removal documentation, equipment and operational tests, repairs, maintenance, DOT compliance reports, and sample reports.
• Generate batch tickets and witness meter calibrations per contractual obligations.
• Respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions to prevent injury or property damage.
• Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.

Requirements

• Training and/or experience in meter testing and installation, regulating flow and pressure, and servicing/repairing measuring station equipment.
• Knowledge of company and governmental operating/safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret measurement data and characteristics of product handled.
• Experience reading and interpreting maps, plats, atlas pages, dials, gauges, sample reports, drawings, procedures, correction tables, and applicable operation and safety manuals.
• Ability to install, test, repair, and maintain measurement and regulation equipment.
• Proficiency in using, maintaining, and repairing tools and equipment used to regulate flow of gas.
• Basic arithmetic skills for validating volume calculations/corrections.
• Strong communication skills for exchanging written and verbal information and instructions.
• Physical ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders, work on elevated surfaces, and operate in confined areas.
• Ability to react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
• Capability to operate tools and equipment as required and travel over uneven terrain (e.g., mud, gravel, sand, rocks, ice, snow).

Skills

• Technical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Electrical background and flow computer experience (strongly preferred).
• Experience or training related to automation or similar technical fields (transferable skills may apply).

Physical Demands

• Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently.
• Frequent standing, walking, and constant balancing.
• Occasional sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Constant crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, and near/far vision with depth perception and color identification.
• Occasional exposure to tasting/smelling, outdoor weather conditions, wet/humid conditions, extreme cold/heat, dust/fumes/gases, moving mechanical parts, electric shock, vibration, loud noises, unprotected heights, and frequent repetitive motion.
• Constant use of CRT/computer monitors.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, eight-hour workdays.
• On-call rotation every third weekend.
• Some overnight travel may be required depending on project work.

Pay

Expected salary range: $65,000.00 - $97,000.00.
