Measurement Technician (Flooring Estimator)- 1099-Subcontractor

About the role

This is a 1099 contract position as a Measurement Technician (Flooring Estimator). You will travel to job sites, meet customers, and assist with their flooring needs while operating independently.

Responsibilities

• Listen to the customer’s needs and expectations
• Create detailed digital floor diagrams
• Inspect the job site to determine product requirements for flooring installation
• Take before photographs
• Make detailed notes for the quoting process
• Travel frequently to job sites (up to two hours one way)

Requirements

• Active listening skills
• Friendly, customer-oriented, and professional demeanor
• Math proficiency
• Detail-oriented
• Valid driver’s license with personal vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
• Smartphone (no flip phones) and basic computer/tablet skills
• Able to pass a background check
• Availability to visit customers in their homes Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, with evenings and weekends as needed

Qualifications

• Construction experience preferred
• Flooring knowledge is a bonus
