Measure Tech (Annapolis, MD)

This position works independently in a traveling field role in support of The Home Depot's Field Services Organization. The Measure Technician’s role is to provide quality professional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds Company standards of excellence and customer expectations. This role supports sales, product inquiry, in-home measurements, and installation coordination within a predefined geographical area, using company-issued devices.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily routes for pre-assigned in-home measure appointments efficiently and accurately.
• Perform in-home measure appointments, including creating, maintaining, and improving customer relationships.
• Provide a positive customer experience through accurate measurements, calculations, quote review, and presentation.
• Ask customers open-ended questions about their projects and product needs; describe features, benefits, and project steps.
• Demonstrate product and services knowledge to answer customer questions and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Collaborate with associates, supervisors, and managers to complete assigned work activities.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and adhere to the work schedule.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation required.
• 1+ years of previous related work experience.
• Ability to continuously stand, walk, or regularly lift/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Competencies: Action Oriented, Collaborates, Communicates Effectively, Customer Focus.

Schedule

Located in a comfortable indoor area, though conditions may produce mild discomfort on occasion. Travel between locations is required.

This position reports directly to the Assistant Market Manager and has no direct reports.
