Meals On Wheels Delivery Driver Route
About the role
Do you have 2 hours a week for a good deed? Meals On Wheels is looking for a regular route delivery driver one day a week (first come, first choice of your preferred day!) in Montgomery County. Family Services is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit human service organization with offices in Norristown and Pottstown in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities
- Drive the company vehicle (a Ford Explorer) from the Pottstown home office to six stops (Royersford, Trappe, Collegeville, Schwenksville) and back to Pottstown.
- Load 16 Meals on Wheels insulated food delivery bags into the vehicle using a dolly cart.
- Deliver the bags to waiting volunteers at each stop.
- Retrieve yesterday's bags from volunteers and return them to the office.
- Perform the same route each week.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current automobile insurance.
- Pass a background check.
- Complete a ride‑along training.
- Commit to approximately 2 hours per week, one day per week (schedule flexible based on preference).
Schedule
The route picks up in Pottstown at 9:45 am and usually returns around 11:30 am.
