Meal Kits

Description

Hope Communities, a nonprofit providing support and affordable housing to intersectional communities across the Denver area, often distributes meal kits to residents in need. We need volunteers throughout the year to put together ingredients for a full meal for individuals, seniors, and families. All ingredients should be shelf-stable, and ideally would come with a $10 Walmart or King Soopers gift card to buy fresh ingredients, but this is not required. Meals should include diverse sources of nutrition (grains, protein, and produce).

• Peanut butter and jelly + bread or crackers
• Canned soup, tuna, or chicken
• Pasta and sauce
• Ramen with seasoning and eggs (include instructions)
• Rice, beans, and canned vegetables
• Instant oatmeal or cereal
• Canned fruit
