Volunteer Opportunity Details Volunteer Opportunity ID: 5105 Description of Duties: Report to assigned unit - transport residents/patients to the dining area, assist assigned residents/patients with their meal as required. Skills Required Ability to commit to a schedule, desire to work with older adults with special needs, ability to provide mealtime assistance as required, ability to provide friendly conversation where appropriate. Ability to push people in a wheelchair. Ability to work independently. Skills Gained/Related Careers Career exploration, work experience, social interaction Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+ Time Commitment: Daytime , Evening Mondays - Sundays - meal time hours - 8:15am - 9:30am or 11:30am - 1:00pm or 4:30pm-6:00pm.This position requires a 6 month commitment.
