Job Summary Seeking a Software Engineer to support the development, enhancement, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex software systems within a mission-focused environment This role includes front-end development, cloud application deployment, workflow automation, and integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities into established systems and processesThe ideal candidate is a versatile software engineer with strong problem-solving skills, a solid foundation in software development principles, and experience working across modern web, cloud, automation, and DevOps technologies Primary Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirementsAnalyze user requirements to derive software design, functional, and performance requirementsDesign and develop user-friendly graphical user interfaces and interactive dashboardsBuild responsive and accessible web interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.jsDevelop software using Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScriptDesign, deploy, and manage applications and supporting infrastructure in Amazon Web Services (AWS)Work with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and RDSSupport Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormationIntegrate new functionality into existing applications and tools through technology transfer and system integration activitiesDesign, implement, and maintain automated workflows that improve operational efficiencyDevelop Python scripts and use workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or AWS Step FunctionsIntegrate artificial intelligence and machine learning models into existing software systems and workflowsMonitor and optimize automated workflows and AI/ML model performanceDebug existing software, diagnose software problems, and implement corrective actionsModify existing software to correct defects, adapt to new hardware or environments, improve performance, or add new functionalityIntegrate existing software into new or modified systems and operating environmentsDevelop and optimize database and data repository interfaces and queriesDevelop simple and complex data queries for existing or proposed databases and repositoriesDesign and implement algorithms to meet system functional and performance requirementsReview and test software components for compliance with design requirements and document test resultsAssist with developing and executing unit, integration, and software component test proceduresWrite clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable codeWrite, review, and maintain software and system documentationProvide recommendations for improving software development processes, documentation standards, and engineering practicesSupport system design activities, including hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS evaluation, and requirements allocationAnalyze system performance standards, data flows, data usage, work processes, and problem areas to develop effective software solutionsDesign and modify software systems using analytical methods and models to evaluate design outcomes and performanceSupport CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments using Docker, and cloud security best practicesUse tools such as Git and automated testing frameworks to support version control and software qualityCollaborate with developers, system engineers, users, and other cross-functional team members throughout the software development lifecycleWork effectively both independently and as part of an Agile development team Required Qualifications Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope PolygraphExperience developing, maintaining, testing, and integrating software systemsExperience with software requirements analysis, design, development, debugging, integration, and testingExperience with Python and modern web development technologiesExperience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSSProficiency with at least one modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.jsExperience developing responsive web-based user interfacesWorking knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-based application deploymentExperience using Git and software testing frameworksExperience working within Agile software development environmentsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team Desired Qualifications TypeScript development experienceExperience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormationExperience with Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar workflow orchestration toolsExperience integrating AI/ML models into software applicationsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Docker or other containerization technologiesKnowledge of cloud security best Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The Pay Range For This Role Is 110,000 - 155,000 USD per year(NBP)
