Seeking a System Administrator to provide IT systems support for daily operations and resolve all issues to ensure system availability and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Linux systems; experience with Windows to support Microsoft PowerBI is also very helpful
- Create, support, and manage virtual machines
- Manage all IAVA patches ensuring multiple SSPs remain STE/STN compliant; work in close coordination with ISSO
- Manage installation and configuration of software environments
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Perform Data Transfer Agent (DTA) responsibilities, including reviewing, validating, documenting, and executing authorized data transfers between systems and security domains at varying classification levels
Required Qualifications
- Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree (BS) in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Seven (7) years experience as an SA in programs of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Four (4) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. A Master's Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience
- Must have background supporting both Linux and Windows OS
- Experience with software installation and configuration
- Understanding of applying patches to systems and maintaining STE/STN compliance on SSPs
- Security+ Certification (SEC+)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AWS and cloud environments
- Scripting experience (Python) is a plus

Pay
Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The pay range for this role is $165,000 - $185,000 USD per year.
