About the role

Covenant Living at the Samarkand is seeking a part-time Clinical Reimbursement (MDS) Coordinator to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in fulfilling our mission: to create joy and peace of mind for our residents and their families by creating a better way of life.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), including the Minimum Data Set (MDS) as prescribed by State and Federal regulations.
  • Aid in identifying problems and potential care planning issues.
  • Coordinate the completion of CAA summaries and ensure interdisciplinary staff involvement in assessment and care planning.
  • Ensure Assessment Reference Dates (ARD) are established to optimize reimbursement and maintain compliance with regulatory expectations.
  • Support the care planning system and process to ensure the resident care plan accurately reflects the needs and preferences of individual residents and ensures the care plan schedules are distributed to IDT members.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing who is currently licensed in good standing as a registered nurse (RN) or licensed vocational nurse (LVN) in the state of California.
  • Two years' experience working with geriatric clients and one to two years of MDS and care plan development experience under MDS 3.0.
  • One year of supervisory experience helpful.
  • Proficiency in general nursing skills and restorative nursing.
  • Proper assessment and observation skills.
  • An attention to detail.
  • Computer and technological literacy.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing who is currently licensed in good standing as a registered nurse (RN) or licensed vocational nurse (LVN) in the state of California.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement processes.

Pay

Pay Range: $40.60 - $57.13 per hour.
