About the role
The MDS Nurse is responsible for accurately completing the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), including the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Area Assessments (CAAs), care planning, and documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations. They ensure assessments accurately reflect residents' clinical status and support individualized care planning.
Qualifications
- Prior MDS/RAI experience preferred
- Knowledge of RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, Quality Measures, and care planning processes
- Understanding of the RAI process, PPS principles, and case mix systems
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong leadership
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with at least one year of experience and excellent assessment skills preferred
- Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of employment
