MDS Director (Registered Nurse)

About the role

The MDS Director (Registered Nurse) oversees the implementation and administration of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process within the healthcare facility. This includes ensuring accurate data collection, timely reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the MDS process including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
• Train staff on MDS procedures and data interpretation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care outcomes.
• Prepare and present MDS reports to senior management and external auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare, preferably in a leadership role.
• Experience with MDS and other quality improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
