MDM ETL Test Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior MDM ETL Test Engineer with strong experience in Master Data Management (MDM), ETL testing, and data validation. The ideal candidate will validate MDM and ETL processes, ensure data quality, verify data transformations, and test enterprise data integration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test strategies for MDM, ETL, and data integration solutions.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases to validate ETL workflows, data migrations, and data transformations.
• Validate data quality, data governance rules, and golden record creation within MDM platforms.
• Perform end-to-end testing of ETL pipelines, data marts, and data warehouses.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data validation and reconciliation.
• Identify data validation scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to understand business requirements and data flows.
• Automate test data generation and provisioning using Python or similar technologies.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality and ETL-related issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, defect management, and test reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in MDM, ETL, or data warehouse testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica MDM and MDM concepts.
• Extensive experience in ETL testing and data validation.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, and data reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience validating data quality, business rules, and data governance requirements.
• Knowledge of Python for test automation and data processing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Experience with Azure Data Factory or other cloud-based data integration platforms.
• Experience with test automation frameworks for data testing.
• Exposure to enterprise data governance and master data management initiatives.
