Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuriesPerforming procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound careOrdering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGsPrescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Maryland regulations and clinic protocolsEducating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up careAccurately and efficiently documenting patient encountersCollaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience Qualifications Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain oneCurrent certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantAt least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-CActive DEA registration, or ability to obtain oneCurrent BLS and ACLS certificationsAbility to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound careAbility to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test resultsStrong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills Preferred Experience Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or internal medicineExperience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment as a sole provider Hourly Rate or Salary Range: Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
