About the role
A Maryland CNA/GNA licensed caregiver provides support to residents in their homes by following the plan of care established by the Director of Nursing. Responsibilities include medication reminders, assistance with toileting and incontinent care, personal care and hygiene, meal assistance, light housekeeping, and companionship to enhance residents' quality of life.
Attention to detail is critical for observing and reporting safety hazards in the resident's home, as well as any changes in the client's mental, physical, or emotional condition.
Responsibilities
- Follow the plan of care set by the Director of Nursing
- Provide medication reminders
- Assist with toileting and incontinent care
- Support personal care and hygiene
- Order and assist residents with meals
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Provide companionship to enhance quality of life
- Observe and report safety hazards in the resident's home
- Monitor and report changes in the client's mental, physical, or emotional condition
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Valid and current Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) license
- Valid current CPR certification
- At least 3 months of professional caregiver experience (preferred)
- Open availability, including weekends and various shifts
- Willingness to work in Prince George's and/or Montgomery County, MD
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to pick up shifts within 7 days of hire
