About the role

The Maintenance Technician on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2:30pm) is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems. Key responsibilities include:

1. Aids in daily start-up operations
2. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
3. Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
4. Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
5. Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains physical structures of buildings
6. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
7. Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment
8. Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools
9. Communicates professionally with all business associates

Requirements

• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence
• Pass and maintain current industrial forklift & man lift certifications
• Personal protective equipment required
• Environmental/Physical Requirements: Regularly stands on concrete floor with/without floor mats, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaches with hands and arms, bends, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls, talks or hears, lifts and/or moves up to 50/55 pounds with assistance, occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 100 pounds with assistance, uses both hands for simple grasping, fine work, pushing/pulling, fast-paced assembly, walks, climbs or balances, uses left and/or right hand for simple grasping, fine work, pushing/pulling, fast-paced assembly, occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, vibration, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate to loud, exposure to outside weather conditions, occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, vibration, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate to loud
