MC - Stock Clerk
About the role
Receiving and entering purchased parts from suppliers into the Avante system, verifying that items from suppliers are correct and all quantities are accurate. Shelving received parts, transferring inventory from production warehouse to service warehouse, updating BIN locations, relocating DEFBIN parts to a permanent BIN location within seven days, and managing the BIN location system to optimize the flow of picking parts.
Additional responsibilities include unloading and loading trucks, performing cycle counts and physical inventory as required, cross-training to assist other warehouse positions based on workload, taking pictures of parts for upload to DealerLink, and participating in 5S goals while observing all safety rules. Daily use of the Avante database system is required.
Responsibilities
- Receive inventory and verify supplier items and quantities
- Shelve received parts and transfer inventory between warehouses
- Update BIN locations and relocate DEFBIN parts to permanent locations within seven days
- Manage the BIN location system to improve picking efficiency
- Unload and load trucks
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory as required
- Operate order picker and/or forklift to stock parts and supplies
- Physically handle and lift parts and supplies, including moderate to heavy lifting (50 to 100 lbs.)
- Maintain a clean work area (80% of role)
- Perform other related duties as assigned (10% of role)
- Cross-train to assist other warehouse positions based on workload
- Take pictures of parts for upload to DealerLink
- Participate in 5S goals and observe all safety rules
Requirements
- Minimum education level required; G.E.D. preferred
- Previous warehouse or stock room experience preferred
- Avante and Excel experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand instructions
- Ability to operate a forklift and order picker without fear of heights
- Must be able to perform physical duties including climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, turning, and twisting
- Moderate to heavy lifting (50 to 100 lbs.), with or without accommodation
Skills & Aptitudes
- Language skills: Ability to understand spoken instructions related to job training and safety, and speak conversational English
- Reasoning skills: Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed tasks and adapt to changes in equipment use and productivity
Environmental & Working Conditions
Work is primarily in a warehouse environment where temperature and ventilation are controlled. The role requires working both inside and outside, regardless of weather conditions. Normal duties involve physical activities such as climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, turning, and twisting. Talking, hearing, and normal vision are required.
