MC Aerial Operations Specialist (23159)

The Employment Coordinator will coordinate career transition services for Federal Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Program-affected workers and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the BRAC Employment Training Specialist responsible for client case management.
  • Represent JobLink at presentations for program applicants, area employers, community groups, training vendors, and State and local agencies.
  • Input data, prepare reports, attend meetings, and perform related duties as required.
  • Review program participant case files to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Monitor work production of the Employment Training Specialist by reviewing monthly activity reports.
  • Develop and conduct workshops and other activities to assist employers and job seekers negatively affected by the BRAC program.
  • Maintain confidential records, enter data into the computer system, and prepare reports as required by local, State, and Federal agencies.
  • Provide up-to-date information on BRAC and other Federal employment regulations in response to questions from participants and the general public.
  • Interact with BRAC staff in other areas and Project Administrators to facilitate the dissemination of program, project, and participant information.
  • Make community-based presentations to enhance awareness of JobLink and BRAC services.
  • Complete required management information forms, participant records, and program reports.
  • Attend team meetings and perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience in personnel placement, employment programs, career-development counseling, or a related field.
  • Completion of college-level courses in sociology, urban economics, vocational guidance counseling, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the needs of employers and job seekers at all levels.
  • Ability to assess employability.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Ability to successfully market the program and candidates to area employers.
  • Knowledge of Department personnel classifications and responsibilities.
