About the role

Amgen’s MBA Intern – Finance & Strategy Leadership Development Program (Summer 2027) offers the opportunity to partner with organizational leaders and gain exposure across Finance & Strategy functions. This internship is a key pipeline for leadership hires, providing mentoring and executive-level exposure from start to finish. Interns own a strategic project tied to Amgen’s goals, build financial and technical skills, and engage in a week-long multidisciplinary case study covering revenue and expense forecasting, operations, and sales and marketing. Successful interns are considered for Amgen’s Finance & Strategy Leadership Development Program (FSLDP), a 3-year rotational program across Finance and Strategy teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Amgen’s organizational leaders and gain cross-functional exposure within Finance & Strategy
  • Own the execution of a timely, relevant project aligned with Amgen’s strategic and tactical goals
  • Apply critical thinking in a fast-paced, high-profile role within an impactful industry
  • Participate in a week-long multidisciplinary case study covering revenue and expense forecasting, operations, and sales and marketing

Program Eligibility Requirements

  • Expected continued enrollment in an accredited college or university following the internship program
  • Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship program
  • Must be available to work a full-time schedule
  • Enrolled in a Full-Time MBA Program and must be available to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028, if offered

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA program (at a minimum) before the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking with effective quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in teams, interact with all levels of management and contribute to an atmosphere of belonging
  • Experience and/or curiosity about Corporate Finance
  • Thoughtful cover letter that explains your interest in FSLDP and how your experiences align with Amgen’s mission and commercial leadership goals

Pay

The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $41.83 per hour.
