MB Team Lead

About the role

As the Shipping Lead, you will provide direct support to the Shipping Team by ensuring they have the tools and information required to complete their day-to-day tasks needed to meet daily Shipping production goals.

Responsibilities

• Leads the daily activities of team members in the department.
• Updates all performance boards on an hour-by-hour basis.
• Conducts morning stretch & flex and briefs all employees from the daily production report.
• Follows up on all safety incidents/near misses to ensure a safe work environment.
• Attends morning production meetings as directed.
• Understands product knowledge of all components in the department.
• Operates all machines and hand tools in the department as necessary.
• At the end of the day, sets up the department for the next day’s build.
• Coaches employees on policies and procedures as needed.
• Covers for the supervisor in their absence.
• Monitors workers on site during shipping activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures.
• Motivates workers to enhance production quantity while maintaining high production standards.
• Checks finished products to ensure quality and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use.
• Acts as a middleman between workers and management to foster healthy communication.
