About the role

We are seeking a Maximo Lead Developer to support an IBM contract, focusing on designing, developing, testing, and implementing Maximo applications for USPS enterprise systems. This role involves multidisciplinary research, collaboration with engineers and analysts, and leadership of developer teams to deliver robust software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement Maximo applications, enhancements, and configurations (30% of effort).
  • Develop algorithms and design/optimize relational databases for performance and scalability (25% of effort).
  • Create software development plans, technical strategies, and coding standards (20% of effort).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members, contributing to solution design and sharing technical expertise (15% of effort).
  • Conduct research on specialized areas, devise solutions to potential issues, and evaluate alternatives (10% of effort).
  • Oversee the work of developers and conduct quality control of software development.
  • Perform proactive risk identification and mitigation in the software development process.
  • Test sample data-sets to ensure program output works as intended.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Technical Functional resource with IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management Software.
  • IBM Maximo 7.x application configuration and support (e.g., Maximo Integration Framework, Java, and BIRT report writing).
  • IBM Maximo 7.x installation and upgrade experience.
  • Experience with Maximo Migration Manager, Workflow Designer, Application Designer, and Database Configuration applications.
  • Proficiency in Java and Python programming, and Oracle PL/SQL development.
  • Certified Maximo Deployment Professional (preferred).
  • Familiarity with USPS systems (nice to have).
  • Certification in one Cloud Service Provider (nice to have).
  • Experience with Maximo 9 (nice to have).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Must be eligible for U.S. Security Clearance (MBI) and either a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien (no HQ visa holders).

Schedule

Work Type: Remote. Travel is required.
