About the firm
We are a boutique matrimonial firm in White Plains that practices family law exclusively, with a sharp focus on high net worth divorce. For decades our attorneys have represented business owners, entrepreneurs, executives and public figures across Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Nassau, Suffolk and New York Counties. Our founder is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a board certified family law trial advocate, and the firm is recognized by Best Lawyers, Best Law Firms and Super Lawyers, with ties to the IAFL and AAML. We take cases selectively so every matter gets real preparation, and we routinely work alongside forensic accountants and valuation experts on complex asset, business interest and tax issues.
This is not a volume shop. You will work directly with a nationally recognized matrimonial litigator and a small team of seasoned attorneys on cases where the stakes and the financial complexity are high: closely held businesses, investment portfolios, real estate holdings, maintenance and custody fights that may go to trial. You will own your matters, draft and argue motions, take depositions, work with experts and be in the courtroom, not buried in document review. The compensation reflects the level of work, with a ceiling well above typical suburban associate pay.
Requirements
- Admitted to practice in New York and in good standing
- 3+ years of matrimonial and family law experience, ideally in contested divorce litigation
- Comfortable with equitable distribution, business valuation issues, maintenance and child support calculations, and custody and parenting time disputes
- Experience drafting motions, net worth statements, discovery and settlement agreements; trial or hearing experience a strong plus
- Strong financial literacy and the ability to work closely with forensic accountants and valuation experts
- Excellent writing, sound judgment and the discretion high profile clients expect
- Thrives in a small, hands-on team where you are trusted to run with matters
Pay
$185,000 - $275,000 per year
