Mathematics Tutor Part-Time (great for college students)

About the role

Mathnasium of Sugar House is seeking part‑time, year‑round math instructors to work with students in grades 1‑12. The role uses a proven, 40+‑year curriculum to help learners build confidence and truly understand math.

Responsibilities

• Teach math to students in grades 1‑12
• Follow Mathnasium’s structured methods and curriculum (training provided)
• Help students build skills, confidence, and a love of learning

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong math skills (from basic arithmetic through Algebra 2)
• A genuine passion for math
• Friendly, patient, and engaging personality
• Experience working with kids is a plus (but not required)
• Strong work ethic and reliability

Pay

Starting pay: $16‑17 per hour

Schedule

• Flexible after‑school hours; all shifts start between 3 pm and 4 pm
• Minimum of 2‑3 shifts per week (approximately 6‑10 hours)
• Opportunity for additional hours if desired
