About the role

The Chino Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) is seeking a Secondary Classroom Teacher – Mathematics. CVUSD is known for its award-winning team, including thriving performing arts and athletic programs, and numerous honors for its schools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Structures class and uses appropriate instructional aids stressing “discovery” and laboratory learning methods.
• Demonstrates mathematical concepts using models, chalkboard, overhead projector, and other standard or teacher-prepared instructional aids.
• Designs learning activities that relate mathematics to the physical world.
• Develops weekly lesson plans and supplementary materials compatible with the District's instructional philosophy and curriculum.
• Provides students with the opportunity to participate in daily patriotic observance.
• Maintains a clean and safe classroom environment, notifying the principal of any unclean or unsafe conditions.
• Makes students responsible for putting materials, supplies, tools, etc., safely and neatly away at the end of each class session.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid California Single Subject Mathematics credential.
• English Learner Authorization.
• Copy of Transcript (all undergraduate and graduate coursework).
• Credential Copy (a detailed screenshot from the CTC website, a credential status letter from your university, or proof of credential application).
• English Learner Authorization (if applicable).
• Letter of Introduction.
• Two (2) letters of recommendation signed and dated within the last 24 months.
