Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field (degree must be conferred by the start date of the position).
- University or college teaching experience (e.g., instructor of record, teaching assistant, or similar role).
- Evidence of ongoing or potential scholarly research in applied mathematics or a closely related area.
- Demonstrated potential to teach upper-division undergraduate and graduate-level applied mathematics courses.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications
- Research expertise in applied mathematics, with particular interest in nonlinear optimization, the mathematics of machine learning, or stochastic modeling.
- Excellence in teaching.
- Potential for directing Master’s thesis students or mentoring undergraduate research.
- Potential for contributing to department governance and service.
- Commitment to mentoring first generation college students in the mathematical community.
